Sometimes a class may be shorter than 26 minutes. This can happen if:
-
The student arrives late
-
The student needs to leave early
-
There are technical issues
π Important: Classes must last at least 15 minutes to be evaluated normally.
If the class lasted 15 minutes or more before ending
-
Evaluate the class as usual.
-
Do not report and end it unless there was another issue.
-
If you end and report it instead of evaluating, the student will have to repeat the same material in their next class.
If the class lasted less than 15 minutes before ending
-
Do not evaluate. Evaluations without a class lasting long enough prevent students from retaking missed material in their microcourse.
-
Instead, report the class:
-
Click the β+β button in the bottom right of the classroom.
-
Select βEnd the class.β
-
Explain the issue in detail.
-
If the student arrives late
-
Politely remind the student that because of the late start, the class may be shorter than usual.
-
Try to keep the class going until the normal end time, aiming for the 26-minute target.
-
Do not extend the class beyond the scheduled slot.
