Wondering what each level means and how to evaluate your students? Read on!
Students are placed into five stages based on speaking ability. These correspond to CEFR levels A1 to C1.
Each stage contains internal progression levels, but when teaching, your main reference point is the stage and its CEFR band.

During class, you will evaluate four skills with a star rating: communication of ideas, fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation. To do this fairly, it helps to understand what students are expected to achieve in their stage and level.
Complete Beginner students
During onboarding, some students may choose to declare themselves complete beginners rather than complete an initial assessment class.
These students are automatically assigned to the starting level for their language (for example, Foundation 1 in English).
When teaching a student's first regular class, you may see a "Complete Beginner" label in the classroom. This indicates that the student declared themselves a beginner during onboarding and may have very limited language knowledge.
